You've got to get soil biology and mineralization right if you want nutritious, abundant crops. It doesn't have to be difficult and complicated. Easy to understand basic knowledge will get you started! Join us and learn how!

Experienced and knowledgeable local farmer, Dean Harrell combines biology and mineral nutrition to promote healthy plants and people. This program will help you set up your garden for the coming months and beyond, in a way that will be practical, enlightening and informative.

Demonstration garden plots include in-ground and raised beds. You will observe the filling of the raised bed including amendments. We will also prepare and plant a portion of the in-ground bed.

Passing on the winter veggies? Cover cropping is a good option for the winter. We'll discuss which cover crop seeds work for different soil types, how to plant them and what to do when they have grown and need to be harvested or incorporated.

The demonstration will conclude with a tour of the worm farm, how we produce Black Diamond VermiCompost and what makes it a unique product.

$25 pp

Put on that floppy hat you love and grab a cold bottle of water. You'll be ready to grow a great winter garden you can brag about!
